In 1990, as a response to an increased responsibility for the environment, renowned producers of PVC and PVC floor-coverings had already amalgamated and established the AgPR (Association for PVC floor-covering Recycling )
In the same year, the first recycling plant in Grossefehn, East Friesland came into operation. After the initial trial period, at the end of 1993, the AgPR established a technically more advanced and fully-developed recycling plant in Troisdorf near Cologne with a capacity of 4,000 to 5,000 tons per year.
A network of collection centres in Germany and various logistic systems throughout neighbouring European countries guarantee the acceptance of post-use PVC floor-coverings and their dispatch to the AgPR recycling plant.
